Would anyone have a nice 60's or 70's movie to recommend for me? I'm firing up the videoprojector tonight...

@codingquark someone said Some Like it Hot, which is from 1959. I let that pass. But a 2009 movie is a stretch... ;)

@switch It's a mad mad mad mad mad mad mad world?

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Is that the sequel with 75% more madness? ;-)

@kosh I just kept typing until I felt like it was sufficiently mad.

@switch What about a Mel Brooks classic, like Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein?

Or, if you want something serious, why not one of the Godfather films? (1 or 2, anyways)

@switch I hope I´m not too late but of course...The Godfather, Annie Hall, Star Wars, The Warriors, Shining, Clockwork Orange, 2001 A Space Odyssey? Need more?

@Richard_ermen No movie tonight actually. But thanks, I even have The Warriors on DVD and haven't watched it yet.

@switch Ohhh, good one! One of the most interesting ways to actually make Xenophons "March of Ten Thousand" (Anabasis O_o) interesting and accessible. You have a sweet sweet movie ahead of you, whenever you do decide to watch it ;)

@switch The Wild Bunch, Annie Hall, The Hustler, Taxi Driver, Eraserhead, Mean Streets, Cool Hand Luke, Alien, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather 1 & 2, The Last Picture Show, The Paper Chase, What's Up Doc?, One-armed Boxer...
