I guess I'm not going anywhere. Turing really missed me when I was out of town.

I would never spend $100 on one of those home air purifiers. But $8 at the thrift shop? Hell yes.

Horny on main

Me: Ok, $kid, time to put your jacket on
Son: noooo don't want my jacket!!!! 😭
Wife: $kid, you need to put your jacket on
Son: noooo I want my jacket 😭
Wife: Are we insane yet?
Me: We literally tried the same thing twice and got different results so, yes.

One downside of working remotely: There's free massages for on-site employees today

Love the new Android Auto design. It doesn't look straight out of 2006 anymore.

This dreary weather isn't helping my depression. Been in a funk for three weeks now. Hard to shake it.

Not even ice cream helps. But it doesn't NOT help so I'm going to keep trying...

A long but interesting read: A Former Alt-Right Member’s Message: Get Out While You Still Can via

I had a dream I got in a fistfight with a white supremecist who was handing out flyers at Walgreens. Suffice it to say I'm in a "take no shit" mood today.

I want to recommend the book Extreme Ownership to people but I think the military theme will turn many of them off. Anybody know an alternative that gets the same messages across?

"allowing the demon to devour you is a dangerous proposition, but it's worth the risk".
i'm literally dying. someone has used GPT-2 to build a neural net generated text-based dungeon game.

I'm also tired of asking my assistants to ask specific skills to do things. "Ask UPS about my package" "Ask Pocket Casts to play my podcast". NO! Intents have been a concept for forever and a day. Provide some, let skills register them, and get on with it. Oh, but then UPS couldn't inject their brand into the discussion so I'm sure that's why everything works that way.

I'm reaching the sad realization that I hate every piece of software that claims to be my "assistant", whether it's a voice assistant like Siri or Alexa, or a smart email program that promises to find tracking numbers in my email and never does.

I'm thinking it may be time to just write my own that's proactive in the ways I need it to be and has the features I'm actually counting on it to "assist" me with.

I've been really getting into PUBG Mobile. It's a guilty pleasure. I haven't liked shooting games since I was a teen but there's something about the battle royale format that's just fun and the randomness of the supplies makes it a challenge. No two games are the same.

Hi, fedifrens. On the 29th, I'm riding in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS along with a few other members of UA Unified, Under Armour's LGBTQ+ culture club. The HCRA benefits 9 central Texas organizations that benefits those affected by AIDS and HIV. If you can, please donate and/or share this? I'm trying to raise $250. Thanks.

Aside from the Alps Glidepoint touchpad I'm loving this little Dell e7250. I was right. I don't want to flip it. I might sell my Surface Book instead and keep going with this and Linux Mint. 16GB RAM. 1TB SSD. i7 processor. It's not breaking a sweat.
